Sub county Education Officers within Kisumu county have been called upon to ensure that all students who have been admitted to form one report to their various schools.
Addressing the sub county officers in Kisumu, county director of education Isaac Atebe said that the 100% transition as directed by the government must be fully implemented.
Atebe asked the officers to mark head teachers who impose illegal levies on parents.
He also told the officers to advise schools heads on the need to improve on their mean scores ahead of the next examinations.
He further said that students should not be sent home for failing to pay additional levies imposed by unscrupulous head teachers.
He urged the officers to ensure that school resources within their areas of jurisdiction are well utilized.
Atebe urged school heads to implement the Covid-19 containment rules for the benefit of the teachers and students.
