Tigania East MP Gichunge Kabeabea has warned that he will not pay any contractor who will construct substandard class rooms in the area.
He vowed to ensure that those found flouting the directive are forced to compensate the parents for loss and time wasted before the culprit is arrested and charged in a court of law.
Speaking at Antuanduru Day Secondary school in Karama Ward during the school prize giving day, the legislator said he will not keep quiet and watch helplessly as the public funds are being misused by a few individuals.
He said that unqualified contractors are to blame for the shoddy work done in some learning institutions.
The legislator said no contractor will be hired to undertake any project unless he is registered by the project management committee.
