The West Pokot County Secondary Schools Sports Association (WPCSSSA) has nullified the final match between Nasokol Girls and Annet Mixed Secondary School after investigations established that both teams fielded ineligible players in violation of KSSSA competition regulations.

In an official communication issued by the association, the appeals committee ruled that both schools were culpable and consequently cancelled the result of the county final.

The jury further directed that Totum Mixed Secondary School and Kamketo Girls Secondary School be recalled to replay their earlier fixture on July 3, 2026, at Chepareria Mixed Secondary School starting at 3:00 p.m.

The winner of the match will represent West Pokot county at the Rift Valley Regional Games scheduled to be held in Narok County.

The decision comes as a major setback for Nasokol Girls, who are the reigning Rift Valley girls’ football champions and had been expected to defend their regional title this year.

WPCSSSA indicated that further details regarding the ruling and implementation of the decision will be communicated to the affected schools through the County Director of Education in West Pokot County.

The development has sparked fresh debate on player eligibility and compliance with KSSSA regulations, with schools being urged to strictly adhere to competition rules to safeguard the integrity of school sports.

Attention now shifts to the replay between Totum Mixed and Kamketo Girls, which will determine the county’s representative at the forthcoming regional championships in Narok.
