The new Chepalungu Sub-County Director of Education, Daniel Cheruiyot, has officially assumed office following a formal handover ceremony with his predecessor, Bismark Oirere, at the Chepalungu Sub-County Education Offices in Sigor, Bomet County.
Cheruiyot, who was recently transferred to Chepalungu Sub-County, took over the leadership of the education office after the successful transition, marking the beginning of his new assignment.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by senior education officials and stakeholders, including Bomet County Director of Education Leonard Ngugi, Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Bomet Executive Secretary Desmond Langat, among others.

Education stakeholders described the smooth transition as a demonstration of the Ministry of Education’s commitment to ensuring continuity in leadership and the uninterrupted delivery of education services in the sub-county.
Cheruiyot now takes charge of the education office as stakeholders express confidence in his leadership and commitment to strengthening education standards in Chepalungu.
The outgoing director, Bismark Oirere, was commended for his service during his tenure, with education officials wishing him success in his new posting.
