Residents of Nyamira County want President William Ruto to give them a University among other goodies as he visits the county today.
In a past event Nyamira leaders including Members of Parliament Patrick Osero(Borabu), Amos Nyamoko (North (Mugorango)and Steve Mogaka (West Mugirsngo requested the President to visit the County and hand them a university.
“We request you your Excellency President to visit Nyamira and bless us like you have done to other counties.” Said Patrick Osero.
They said that recently the President went to the Central region and launched development projects worth 8 billion and decried the imbalance in the provision of government-aided projects.
During the burial Ceremony of Nyamira County Assembly Majority Leader Elijah Osiemo, the leaders requested the president to Consider the revival of Kiabonyoru University.
Speaking to Education News, the residents who were led by Reverent Ibrahim Ombuya, listed their needs in the order of priority.
They mentioned the establishment of universities, an airport, schools, an industrial park and the improvement of road network connectivity.
They asked Nyamira County governor Amos Nyaribo to borrow a leave from his Kisii County Counterpart Simba Arati and cooperate with President Ruto in order to attract development projects into the region.
