Bodaboda and Matatu operators have been asked to be more careful on the roads, especially during this school reopening week.

Masaba North Bodaboda Chairman Dominic Babu warned the Boda operators against taking advantage of innocent school girls to sexually misuse them saying it was against the law.

“We shall work hand in hand with the police to weed out individuals who spoil the good name of the bodaboda service.” He said

Babu appealed to the students and their parents to record the registration numbers and operating stations of motor circles carrying their girls to school for easy identification in case of any problem.

The chairman also appealed to his members and those in the Matatu sector not to overcharge the passengers adding that doing so was tantamount to robbery.

He also appealed to the traffic police to crack down on the traffic offenders especially those who ride or drive while drunk to avoid road accidents.
