Kenya Subcounty Deputy County Commissioner William Kibet decried the high rate of road accidents in the area and called on road users, bodaboda riders, and other motorists to be more careful to avoid more road accidents.

He told bodaboda riders, drivers and their touts to shun using any intoxicants when they are on duty because when they are drunk, they lose good driving directions and end up being agents of road carnage.

The commissioner asked the traffic police to instil discipline among drivers by not accepting bribes and leaving unworthy vehicles unchecked in the transportation business.
