The recognition comes at a time when TVET institutions are increasingly strengthening partnerships with industry to ensure graduates acquire practical skills that match the demands of the labour market.
A key focus of the engagement was the importance of networking and collaboration between training institutions and industry players, particularly through dual training programmes that allow trainees to alternate between classroom instruction and workplace experience.
The model gives learners an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real working environments while exposing them to modern equipment, industry practices and the expectations of employers.
Through such partnerships, TVET institutions are seeking to produce graduates who are technically competent and ready to transition into employment or entrepreneurship.
