Mutua retains Kibwezi KNUT vice chairman seat

It was all jubilation in Nguumo Girls secondary school after Joseph Mutua defeated his close contestant Daniel Mulei in the vice chairman position which became vacant after the former occupant of the Joseph Ndinda retired.

The position which attracted two contestants saw Mutua garner 260 votes against Daniel Mulei who got 149 votes.

Upon being elected Mutua thanked his supporters and promised to work with the other officials to strengthen the union.

Mulei who was contesting for the third time in the same position conceded defeat.

He said: “Though I have conceded defeat,  I am sure I could be much contented if we could be using the current technology.”
