MP promises to prioritize orphans, fatherless children in bursary disbursement

Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament (MP) Zaheel Jhanda has said his NG-CDF office will prioritize orphans and children of single parents in disbursement of bursaries.

The MP noted that such students were vulnerable and needed a shoulder to lean on.

While issuing bursaries worth Ksh30 million to students who missed the initial disbursement due to the overwhelming number of applicants on Friday, Jhanda assured residents that education was close to his heart and that his office had also laid strategies to promote sports and small-scale businesses.

“We may discuss all these things but unless we find proper strategies of supporting education we are just chasing a mirage,“ he said.

He urged them to exercise patience with his office whenever there was a mishap to ensure efficient coordination.

Jhanda issued assorted uniforms and balls to various teams in the constituency as they prepare for the constituency ball tournaments.

He asked the youth to explore their talents and display them in order to make a living out them.
