Kenya’s rural region faces significant barriers to education with many children, especially orphans lacking access to proper schooling facilities. According to recent data 60% of Kenya’s rural population live below poverty line with education infrastructure in these areas often falling short of basic needs.
AI acquisition has not only pledged to address this challenge by building physical classes but also providing resources like books and trained educators to offer a holistic approach to the education experience.
This comes at a time when the education sector is undergoing significant transition with the government recent announcement of the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) to track education data to address inefficiencies, initiatives like this complement national efforts to improve equitable access to education.
