MP-Elect pledges to complete school projects initiated by predecessor

Tongaren MP-Elect Dr. John Chikati has vowed to complete all on-going projects in schools initiated by his predecessor, Dr. Eseli Simiyu.

Speaking recently at St. Patricks High School Naitiri to the constituency’s high school Principals, Dr. Chikati promised to prioritize the education sector among the development projects to be completed.

“The projects were initiated courtesy of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) and as the incoming MP I will ensure that they are completed and operational,” he said.

Dr. Chikati at the same time asked Principals to assist in identifying needy learners in their respective institutions so that they benefit from bursary allocations.

He decried the current process at NG-CDF where most needy learners were left out

The MP-Elect promised to liaise with the County Government of Bungoma and any other bursary organization with a view of ensuring that no student gets double allocations at the expense of other deserving learners.
