Schools should establish mentorship programmes to motivate learners and to improve academic excellence in national examinations.
Moi Gesusu High School alumni led by their chair, Maindi Oruru Wycliffe, said such programmes will uplift education standards in Upper Masaba South Sub-County,Kisii County.
The alumni have plans to organize career and motivational talks as well as structured mentorship and initiate excellence awards for exemplary performance.
They were addressing 341candidates of Moi Gesusu High, who have set a target mean grade of 8 in this year’s exams.
The principal, Richard Sungutet thanked the alumni for such initiatives saying they expect to improve grades this year.
