Machogu releases CBET certificates, result slips for TVET colleges

Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Education Dr.Ezekiel Machogu has said the Government will continue to provide adequate resources to facilitate the full implementation of Competency Based Education Training (CBET) in Technical Vocational Training Institutes.

He said that the Government values technology and will embrace it as the main vehicle towards the achievement of education goals and Vision 2030.

The CS revealed this when he presided over the official release of CBET result slips and certificates at the Kenya School of TVET in Gigiri, Nairobi.

Machogu also witnessed the release of the November /December 2023 assessment series results. The assessment was carried out by Curriculum Development Assessment Certificate Council (CDACC).

He lauded the two bodies, Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority and CDACC for embarking on a comprehensive review of the TVET curriculum that produces and nurtures competent and adaptable workforce with requisite, hands – on skills, competence and knowledge that meet the fast global market demand.

He encouraged the TVET to adopt the Dual Training programme for their requisite interdependence in the sector.

The CS appealed to students who didn’t make entry grades to University to consider joining Technical Training Institutes from where they can advance their education to any level of their desire.
