Machakos University has denied information that it is offering a bachelor’s degree programme in witchcraft terming such information as false and malicious.
In a statement dated April 28, 2021 signed by the University’s acting director corporate affairs, Public Relation and Marking Adam Shisia stated that such information should be disregarded.
“This is to inform the public that the trending information concerning the degree in witchcraft is false and malicious and should be disregarded,” stated Shisia.
Shisia urged the public to treat such information as fake rumour since it is not in good faith and further meant to denigrate the image of the university at large.
“This trending information is, therefore, ill motive and the public and all our stakeholders are requested to ignore and treat it as a fake rumour,” said Shisia.
Reports have been circulating on social media posts claiming the institution of higher learning had launched a Bachelor’s Degree in Witchcraft.
This is not the first time the University is denying such claims. Last year the University denied similar rumours that it had launched a Bachelor’s Degree in Witchcraft course which will be under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
