Kwale county sets aside Ksh292M to implement ECDE development projects

Kwale county government has set aside Ksh 292,947,750 to implement Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) development projects in the region.

Speaking to Education News in Kwale town recently, the County Executive Committee Member in charge of Education Mishi Kaole said that the county government has already prioritized the education sector to ensure all children access education.

She further disclosed that the county government has constructed 913 ECDE centres with 545 being modern and fully equipped with desks, tables and other learning materials.

“24 supervisors have been employed to carry out the supervision exercise of ECDE centres to ensure effective offering of quality education to our children,” she said.

The CECM called upon parents in the county to ensure all children go to school.

“There is free education and free porridge for all ECDE learners for effective learning,” Mishi said.
