A 30-year-old Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) student, Peter Kipngetich allegedly commits suicide by self-inflicted overdose using anesthesia drugs.

Scheduled to graduate on December 7, 2023, Kipngetich was discovered lifeless in his father’s rented dwellings at Chepseon trading center in Kipkelion East, Kericho County.

Prior to the incident, he had informed his family of his journey to Nairobi for the graduation ceremony, receiving financial support of Ksh. 15,000 from his father.

Seeking refuge in his father’s rental houses, Kipngetich requested a key, stating his intention to rest.

Hours later, he was found lifeless in one of the rooms, a syringe still in his arm.

The tragic discovery has left authorities investigating the circumstances leading to the KMTC student’s apparent suicide.

The body has been transferred to Lipton Central Hospital mortuary for preservation.
