Parents from Omonono location in Kiabonyoru Ward in Kisii County have urged the Ministry of Education to fasten the release of school capitation funds to salvage their children from the fees pressure and frequent home sending by the school heads.
The parents raised alarm over the dangers facing their children who are sent home from time to time to collect fees because of the delayed capitation funds that have not reached some schools.
They accused PS Julius Bitok of being a liar and asked him to face the truth about the financial crisis facing the government instead of using delaying tactics that have caused a lot of management intrigues in most schools.

Led by Agasa Onyoni, the parents asked Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba and the PS Julius Bitok to resign and leave their positions to be taken by able people who will streamline the Ministry of education.
They said that the frequent sending of student home by heads of institutions to collet schools has demoralized many of them especially girls who have eloped to become young mothers.
They asked the President to intervene and pronounce the fate of capitation funds to schools which they said its value is becoming a bane than being a relief to parents.
