Government commits KSh110 million to complete multi-purpose hall at Nyambaria  High School

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to strengthening school infrastructure and creating a supportive learning environment for students and teachers. Speaking at Nyambaria National School during its 65th Anniversary celebrations, Ogamba announced that Sh110 million has been allocated to complete the institution’s multipurpose hall.

The CS revealed that Sh5 million has already been disbursed, with the remaining Sh105 million to be released progressively as construction advances. He emphasised that the initiative is part of a broader national effort to transform the education sector by enhancing facilities, fostering academic excellence, and supporting the holistic development of learners.

“We are committed to working with educators, parents, and stakeholders to ensure our schools provide the best possible facilities for our children,” Ogamba said, noting that quality education remains central to Kenya’s development agenda.

The anniversary celebrations were marked with pomp, bringing together alumni, students, teachers, and education officials. The event provided a platform to reflect on the school’s achievements and chart its future. Students showcased their talents through music, dance, and drama, while exhibitions highlighted academic and co-curricular innovations, impressing visitors with creativity and resilience.

Parents and administrators welcomed the government’s pledge, saying the completion of the multipurpose hall will expand the school’s capacity to host events and strengthen co-curricular programmes. The facility is expected to serve as a hub for both academic and extracurricular activities, supporting the institution’s growing population.

Ogamba also underscored the government’s push to promote technical and vocational training, stressing that bridging the gap between education and industry needs is vital for preparing youth for the job market. He urged students to seize available opportunities and strive for excellence, reminding them that education is the foundation of national progress.
