KCSE examinations entered the second day yesterday in extremely chilly weather in Gucha and Sameta sub-counties in Kisii.

County Director of Education Christine Ongwae thanked centre managers and security officers for braving the morning cold to collect examination papers at Itumbe.

“These officers have exhibited unreserved positive attitude and I hope it will end well,” she said.

Ongwae said her sub-county is presenting 1850 candidates, appealing to residents to accord them maximum cooperation by minimizing noise near examination centres.

In the neighbouring Gucha Sub-county, Director of Education Japheth Odhiambo lauded priority planning by his officers under the able leadership of the sub-county commissioner.

Odhiambo said there were a few transportation hiccups through impassable roads to some schools in the interior.
