KCA University Kitengela Campus has donated 70 mattresses and footballs to GK Prison Kitengela in efforts geared towards supporting the rehabilitation of inmates.
Dr. Chrisantus Makokha, who is in charge of the Prison, appreciated the University fraternity for the support.
He appealed to well-wishers, organizations and institutions to partner with the Prison to ensure inmates are rehabilitated to rejoin society when their sentence ends.
The Campus Director Dr. Fred Sporta told the inmates that they have a second chance to succeed in life and urged them to enroll for various courses in the facility.
The Director also urged the society to quit stigmatizing inmates when released and welcome them instead.
The prisoners were encouraged not to give up in life and change their perspective of prison into a place for rehabilitation to become better persons.
