Joy as Governor Wanga unveils new ECDE classrooms in Homa Bay

Homa Bay County, Governor Gladys Wanga has officially unveiled a newly constructed two-unit Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) tuition block at Lala Comprehensive school in Arujo, Homa Bay County.

The units aim at improving learning conditions for Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) pupils.

The new facility, described as spacious, modern, and conducive for learning, is part of an ongoing county initiative to boost educational infrastructure. With the addition of this block, the county has completed a total of 241 classrooms over the last two years.

Speaking during the unveiling, Governor Wanga reiterated her administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality education.

“In the upcoming financial year, we remain committed to expanding this progress by constructing five new units in every ward under our Ondoa Kaunda Classrooms Initiative.” she announced.

The governor emphasized that the program is reshaping education in the region, promising brighter futures for children enrolled in Early Years Education (EYE) centres across the county.

This development is seen as a significant step in addressing classroom congestion and enhancing the learning environment for young learners in Homa Bay County.
