Joy as Eldas Girls crowned North Eastern regional volleyball champions

Eldas Girls Secondary School volleyball team celebrates after clinching the North Eastern regional title, securing their spot in the national championships.

Eldas Girls’ Secondary School from Wajir County emerged as the North Eastern Regional Volleyball Champions after defeating Darul Hikma Girls during the Regional Secondary Schools Ball Games held in Garissa. The final match took place at Garissa High School, where Eldas Girls secured victory and claimed the regional title.

Darul Hikma Girls delivered a spirited performance that earned them the runners-up position, displaying determination and skill throughout the competition. Despite their efforts, Eldas Girls maintained their composure and emerged as the superior side, ensuring a well-deserved win.

With this triumph, Eldas Girls have now been crowned the queens of volleyball in the North Eastern region. Their success has earned them the honour of representing the region at the upcoming National Secondary Schools Ball Games scheduled to be held in Kakamega.

The regional ball games in Garissa brought together top teams from Wajir, Mandera and Garissa counties, highlighting the depth of talent in the North Eastern Region. Eldas Girls’ victory stands as a testament to their hard work and commitment.

As they advance to the national stage, Eldas Girls carry the pride and expectations of their school and region, with hopes of replicating their regional success on a larger platform.
