Involve teacher’s unions in CBC training, says KUPPET

By Leonard Angatia

Bungoma County Kenya Union of Post Primary Education (KUPPET) Executive Secretary Augustine Luketelo has called on the government to invest more in Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and employ more teachers especially those in the category of technical subjects.

He added that, teachers should also be trained on CBC so that they do not appear confused in discharging the same to learners.

Luketelo urged the Ministry of Education to equip schools with enough training facilities in a way not to overburden parents.

He reiterated that CBC training sessions should be expanded to Union officials across the country through circulation of detailed analysis and create awareness on CBC so that they act as watchdog to those teachers who may not be on the right track

KUPPET official then thanked Bungoma teachers for having entrusted the whole office and voted them back majority going unopposed.

He intends to vie for Bumula Constituency as Member of Parliament in 2022 General Elections.
