Navakholo re-elected MP Emanuel Wangwe has said that he will push for the increase of Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) loans to support needy students.
He said that the previous government had problems in disbursing HELB funds but promised that this time round they will do their best to assist all students in need by making sure that the loan increment budget is allocated and effected.
Addressing students from various universities and colleges sponsored by ACCESS foundation, an education non-governmental organization within Kakamega, he said it’s only a matter of time before a free education policy is effected in all levels of education.
He appreciated the foundation and encouraged them to keep on with empowering the youth by sponsoring their education.
He further warned students against being used by politicians to cause violence but instead focus on their studies and making their future better.
