The chairman Embu College, Kithinji Kiragu has urged fresh graduates to focus on self-employment where a lot of opportunities exist.
He told them to strive to be employers rather than employees.
Speaking during Embu College’s fourth graduation ceremony, Kiragu urged the graduates to adopt the philosophy and spirit that education is for self empowerment and not necessarily for employment.
College Principal Margaret Wachira told the graduands that the education acquired, hands them an opportunity to go and conquer the world either in formal or self-employment employment.
With a population of about 2000 students, Embu College is the second largest institution of higher learning in the county after the University of Embu.
