Governor Jonathan Bii of Uasin Gishu has graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Project Planning and Management from Kisii University.
Governor Bii was among the graduands during the university’s 12th graduation ceremony, which was jointly conducted with the installation of the new Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Nathan O. Ogechi as the second VC.
“I am truly grateful to God for graciously guiding me through my academic journey, culminating in the conferral of a doctorate,” Governor Bii said.
The governor also thanked his immediate family, supervisors, colleagues, the entire Kisii University community, and all who supported him throughout his academic journey.
He said the achievement will be used as an added incentive to further his servant leadership role for the great people of his county.
His thesis was ‘Resource Mobilization Strategies for Women-Led Agricultural Development Projects in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya’.
He started his PhD studies in 2018 at the School of Arts and Social Science, supervised by Dr Peter Gutwa and Eng. Caleb Akuku.
Kisii Governor Simba Arati, who also attended the graduation, congratulated Governor Bii and revealed that he will also be graduating with a PhD next year.
