The Chuka University Students Association (CUSA) has called on students to promptly register for their academic units and improve lecture attendance to ensure a smooth academic semester.

In an official notice issued by the Office of the Secretary General, the student leadership clarified that unit registration for the current semester does not attract any fee.

The association further emphasised that students are eligible to register their units regardless of whether they have cleared their outstanding tuition fees.

According to the statement, failure to complete unit registration within the stipulated timelines may lead to academic inconveniences, including challenges in accessing course materials and sitting examinations.

CUSA urged all students to take advantage of the fee-free registration window to regularize their academic records and avoid disruptions.

The association also expressed concern over declining lecture attendance across various faculties, noting that consistent class participation plays a key role in academic success and overall performance.

They encouraged learners to attend all scheduled lectures and actively engage in coursework to enhance their learning experience.

While reaffirming that fee balances should not hinder unit registration, CUSA advised students with outstanding financial obligations to make arrangements to clear them in good time to prevent future administrative challenges.

The notice, signed by Secretary General Imanuel Imani, was copied to the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Dean of Students, and Head of Security, and circulated through official university notice boards.

CUSA reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding students’ academic interests and promoting efficient learning processes, urging the student body to cooperate fully with the directive for a productive and successful semester.
