Arsenal Football Club has extended its deepest condolences to the people of Kenya and to the family and friends of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga.
In a circular, the club mourned the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as a visionary leader, statesman, and passionate supporter of progress and unity
“We join millions across Africa and around the world in mourning the loss of a visionary leader, statesman, and passionate supporter of progress and unity. His lifelong dedication to democracy and justice will forever remain inspiration to generations.” Reads the circular
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, the Kenyan nation, and all who were touched by his leadership and compassion.”
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Raila Amollo Odinga died on October 15, while receiving treatment in India. His body has been repatriated into to country for the possession and nationwide mourning.
