A family from Koma in Matungulu sub county of Machakos county is in agony after their daughter went missing on July 10th.

On the fateful day, the mother Damaris Mutuku said that Faith Kanini came to her kiosk and left to see her cousin at around 5 pm.

As it began getting late she closed her kiosk after waiting for her in vain.

“She is 14 years old in class eight at Koma Primary school. She came to the kiosk accompanied by a friend and told me she was going to see her cousin who lives nearby,” said the mother.

Upon reaching home she didn’t find her daughter and after asking around no one had seen her.

The cousin she had gone to visit confirmed that the girl left claiming to go to see her mother so they head home.

“I was told she left the other girl at the cousin’s place saying she was coming to the kiosk where I was. I closed business and headed home thinking I would find her there. I was shocked when her father asked me where she was,” she added.

She noted that the girl had never escaped home and had not been wronged before her disappearance.

She called upon good samaritans to help look for her daughter saying she has lacked sleep since her disappearance.

The incident has been reported at Koma Police Post under OB number 06/15/7/2022.
