- Aseka has called on teachers and parents to work together in nurturing learners with strong values, discipline and responsibility.
Khwisero Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Christopher Aseka has urged head teachers to strengthen discipline in schools, saying good conduct among learners is essential for academic success and the development of responsible citizens.
Speaking during the handover of a new school bus to St Mathews Ikomero Secondary School in Khwisero Constituency, Aseka called on school administrators and teachers to work closely with parents in addressing cases of indiscipline. He said schools should not only focus on academic excellence but also nurture learners with strong values, discipline and a sense of responsibility. “Discipline is the foundation of success in any learning institution. Teachers and parents must work together to ensure our children grow into responsible members of society,” Aseka said.

He said the new bus would help address transportation challenges facing the school and enable learners to participate in academic trips, sporting competitions and other co-curricular activities without difficulties. Aseka urged students to use the opportunity provided by the institution responsibly and remain focused on their studies, warning them against engaging in activities that could derail their education.
He commended the school management, teachers, parents and the community for supporting initiatives aimed at improving the learning environment, and said investment in education remained a priority, noting that providing schools with the necessary infrastructure and equipment would create a conducive environment for learners to excel.

He further urged head teachers to maintain close supervision of students and promote a culture of respect, hard work and accountability in schools.
