Form Four students at Kipsaos Boys High School in Elgeyo Marakwet County recently went on a rampage over alleged poor leadership.
According to the area Assistant Chief Mr. Philip Rutto, the whereabouts of 57 out of the 98 students are unknown.
Rutto said that he was alerted by the school clerk when the students broke out at night and he immediately informed security officers stationed at the Kamwosor division who responded swiftly.
According to Mr. Rutto, students escaped through the fence and the church gate at the sight of police officers.
Students are reported to have complained of poorly cooked meals and other grievances accusing the administration of poor leadership.
However, the school Principal Mr. Christopher Tarus denied the allegations that the school is poorly managed.
