A 17-year-old KCPE candidate from Ung’atani Primary School in Makueni County has given birth amidst exam session.
She was rushed immediately to hospital when she began developing labour pains.
The County Director of Education, Charles Nyakundi confirmed the incident, stating that the young mother safely delivered her baby later at Makueni Referral Hospital in Wote town.
Remarkably, the candidate was determined to complete her exams and was allowed to take them from the hospital, where she received the necessary care and support.
