104 Students receive schools boxes from area MCA

Tuuti/ Marakaru ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Joseph Nyongesa has given out 104 school boxes to students who will be joining form one. Tuuti/ Marakaru ward is found in Kanduyi Constituency, Bungoma County.

In last year’s KCPE exams, Kanduyi constituency produced the country’s fourth best pupil.

Speaking to the press at Bukananchi primary school, Nyongesa lauded teachers for doubling efforts to ensure that students succeed in national examinations.

“Kanduyi constituency was ranked the best in Bungoma in the national examination. I appeal to teachers to continue with the same spirit to ensure that students continue meriting,” he said

He also asked parents to be close to teachers so as to monitor their children’s performance .He further urged youths to be innovative and job creators so that they can help the society.

Nyongesa added that his efforts to support needy students from his ward are not linked to politics and vote hunting.

Assembly Education Committee Chairman who is also the nominated Ford Kenya MCA also urged all education stakeholders to support and embrace education.
