Youth in Busia County have been urged to join youth polytechnics and technical training institutes to acquire relevant skills required in the job market.
Former Teso South Member of Parliament Mary Emase and Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) Teso branch executive secretary Deogratious Owaya said this will ensure the youth are engaged in gainful activities.
Owaya urged parents to encourage their children to join vocational institutions to get skills saying the Government was paying for their education.
Emase said young people with technical skills stand higher chances of getting employment anywhere in Kenya without a lot of tarmacking.
