The vetting exercise for Boards of Management (BoMs) in public basic education institutions in West Pokot Sub-county will take place from October 1-6, 2025.
According to the schedule, Sook Zone will be vetted on Wednesday, October 1 at Sook Boys’ Secondary School; Riwo, Kanyarkwat, and Turkwel cluster zones on Thursday, October 2 at Nasokol Primary School; and Kishaunet, Mnagei, Chemwochoi, and Siyoi zones on Monday, October 6, also at Nasokol Primary School.
Schools are required to submit typed nomination lists of prospective members, including full names, gender, category of representation, and valid national ID numbers, together with signed minutes of nomination meetings and copies of IDs.

The vetting panel will scrutinise the submissions to ensure compliance with the Basic Education Act, which demands credible, gender-balanced, and community-representative Boards.
Stakeholders, including parents, teachers, sponsors, and community leaders, are encouraged to participate actively to ensure that qualified nominees are cleared to serve.
