Kitelakapel Technical Training Institute, (TTI) in West Pokot  witnessed an extraordinary moment today—one that will be remembered as a testament to courage, creativity, and the transformative power of education.

Plimo Juma, a young man from Chepkopegh in Kapenguria Constituency, arrived at the institute’s admissions office carrying a live goat. To an onlooker, it might have seemed unconventional, even whimsical. But for Juma, it was a deliberate and symbolic gesture—an expression of his unwavering commitment to pursue education despite financial constraints.

He was welcomed by the Principal, Phidis Karimi Masai, accompanied by the County Director of TVET, Micheal Rugut, both who were visibly impressed by the young man’s initiative.

Masai praised his boldness and ingenuity, emphasizing that Juma’s actions were a vivid reminder that determination and creativity can overcome obstacles that often seem insurmountable.

“Education should be accessible to every willing learner,” Masai remarked. “Juma’s courage inspires us all. Let his example encourage other young people to pursue their dreams relentlessly, regardless of the challenges they face.”

For Juma, the goat is more than a mere offering—it symbolizes hope, resourcefulness, and the lengths to which he is willing to go to secure a brighter future. His story is not just a personal triumph; it is an inspiration to communities, educators, and aspiring students alike. It underscores the idea that the pursuit of knowledge requires both courage and ingenuity.

In a world where opportunities are often limited, Juma’s bold act reminds us that determination can create pathways where none seemed to exist. His journey into the admissions office with a goat is now more than a tale of a student seeking enrollment—it is a story of resilience, vision, and the unyielding human spirit.
