Unoa Comprehensive School shines at National Drama Festival with ‘facials’ narrative

Unoa Comprehensive School’s great performance was a narrative, ‘Facials’, talking about the use of unbonafide students in school co-curricular activities, and was scripted by Edwin Omukenya, directed by Catherine Sumu, and produced by Winfred Sila.

The four participants had secured position one in regionals, then proceeded to nationals, where they emerged in position four.

The four great performers were: Maureen Mumo, Gift Mutheu, Shereen Mutheu, and Sylvester Musiu.

The 64th Kenya National Drama and Film Festival’s theme, Bold Storytellers’ Digital Stages, Driving Kenya’s Development Through Theatre and Film, is taking place at Kagumo TTC/Nyeri National Polytechnic/Dedan Kimathi University of Technology from 6th to 17th April.

The Head of Institution (HOI), Winfred Sila, noted that she had trust in the team and their director, adding that they have made the school proud.

“Well, without forgetting that this is all CBE, we are really encouraging learners in co-curricular activities by nurturing and identifying their talents. We will continue nurturing the winners even after nationals as well as encouraging others,” Sila said.
