Teachers Service Commission (TSC) top leadership yesterday joined thousands of secondary school principals from across the country, who gathered at Sheikh Zayed Hall in Mombasa for the official opening of the 49th Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) Annual Conference.
Led by TSC Chairman Dr. Jamleck Muturi and Acting Commission CEO, Evaleen Mitei; the leaders joined school heads in deliberating on key issues affecting the education sector.
Also present were TSC Vice Chairperson CS Sharon Kisire, Commissioners Anneceta Wafukho, Christine Kahindi and Dr. Nicodemus Anyang.
The conference was officially opened by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, who addressed the gathering on matters relating to education, leadership and the government’s commitment to improving learning outcomes across the country.
The annual KESSHA conference brings together secondary school principals to discuss emerging trends in education, school management, policy implementation, curriculum reforms, and strategies for enhancing quality education in Kenya.

The forum also provides an opportunity for school leaders to engage with key education stakeholders and policymakers on challenges facing the sector and possible solutions.
This year’s conference is expected to feature discussions on teacher management, school leadership, competency-based education, technology integration and other issues shaping the future of education in Kenya.
