- TSC has reshuffled senior regional, county and sub-county directors across Nairobi, Meru, Murang’a, Bomet, Kericho, Siaya, Tharaka Nithi and Kajiado.
- Regina Opondo has moved from Meru to become Nairobi Regional Director, replacing Samwel Marigat, who has been appointed acting Director of Staffing at TSC headquarters.
- Several county directors, including Mary Kinyajui, Daniel Kioko, Emmy Kiget and Solomon Buyela, have been transferred between counties and headquarters as part of the Commission’s ongoing administrative reorganisation.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has effected a fresh round of deployments involving senior officers at its headquarters and field offices across the country, affecting Nairobi, Meru, Murang’a, Bomet, Kericho, Siaya, Tharaka Nithi and Kajiado offices.
The changes affect regional, county and sub-county directors, with some officers transferred between counties while others have been moved to TSC headquarters. Meru County Director Regina Opondo has been deployed to Nairobi as Regional Director, taking over the Nairobi regional office previously headed by Dr Samwel Marigat, who has moved to TSC headquarters as acting Director of Staffing. As earlier reported by Education News, Marigat was appointed to the Staffing Directorate following the elevation of former Director of Staffing Antonina Lentoijoni to the commission. Marigat had been serving as Nairobi Regional Director after previously heading the Rift Valley region.

Mary Kinyajui, who has been serving as TSC County Director in Murang’a, has been transferred to Meru County. Mary Kola, a Deputy Director in the Discipline Division, has meanwhile been deployed to Murang’a as County Director. Bomet County Director Daniel Kioko has been moved back to TSC headquarters, where he will serve in the Discipline Division as Deputy Director. Kioko previously served in the Discipline Division before being deployed to the field, including serving as Wajir County Director before his transfer to Bomet.
Emmy Kiget has been transferred from Tharaka Nithi to Kericho, while Faith Karimi, who has been serving as a Deputy Director and Sub-County Director in Starehe, has been deployed to Tharaka Nithi.

Changes in Bomet and Siaya
Solomon Buyela, who has been serving as acting County Director in Siaya, has been moved to Bomet, where he will serve as acting County Director. Caroline Nandi has been transferred from Kericho to Siaya County. At the sub-county level, Jackson Mutai has been moved from Nairobi to Kajiado as Sub-County Director.
The latest deployments are part of continuing administrative changes within TSC as the Commission reorganises its headquarters and field operations. The changes also come at a busy period for the Commission, with teacher promotions, recruitment, deployment and other staffing functions underway across the country.
