The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has invited corporate organisations, stakeholders and well-wishers to partner with it in sponsoring activities lined up to celebrate educators ahead of this year’s World Teachers’ Day.

The Commission said the build-up activities will culminate in the national World Teachers’ Day celebrations scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi. As part of the celebrations, TSC will host a marathon on Sunday, September 27, across all eight regions of the country. The marathon is expected to bring together teachers and other stakeholders in an initiative aimed at recognising and celebrating the contribution of educators to the country’s education sector.

TSC said the events will provide an opportunity to celebrate, empower and reward teachers for their dedication and contribution to the development of the country. “The Teachers Service Commission warmly invites Corporate Partners, Stakeholders, and Well-wishers to sponsor our upcoming build-up events culminating in the national celebrations,” the Commission said in a message to potential partners.

The Commission said organisations interested in supporting the activities can obtain more information by contacting it through worldteachersday@tsc.go.ke. Teachers and other participants interested in taking part in the marathon have also been urged to register through the TSC online registration portal.

The celebrations come as the country joins the rest of the world in recognising the important role teachers play in shaping learners and strengthening education systems. TSC urged partners to come on board and help make this year’s World Teachers’ Day celebrations a memorable tribute to teachers across the country.
