TSC announces job vacancies, set to improve service delivery

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is seeking to recruit professionals from different fields to bolster service delivery.

Out of the 31 positions advertised, 3 are positions of Deputy Directors at grade 5 in Planning and Research, Labour and Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.

The three Deputy Directors will be employed on five years contract renewable once subject to satisfactory performance.

Successful candidates will earn a basic salary of between Ksh 192,782 and Ksh 288,051 and a house allowance of Ksh 45,000 per month.

Successful candidates will also earn commuter allowance of Ksh 16,000. Leave allowance will be as stipulated in the TSC as well as an annual leave of 30 days.

The Commission is also seeking to recruit 14 Human Resource Officers 1 at grade 9 on permanent and pensionable terms.  Together with Accountant 1 at grade 9, (4 positions) the officers will be earning a basic salary of Ksh 51,023 to Ksh 88,789 per month.

The officers will be entitled to a commuter allowance of Ksh 5,000 and house allowance which shall be determined by the work station as per the Salary Review Commission guidelines.

Successful candidates will also be entitled to a medical cover, annual leave and leave allowance as provided by the Commission’s secretariat.

Ten positions of Clerical Officer III at Grade 13 are also available on permanent and pensionable terms. Candidates who will succeed will earn a basic salary of Ksh 28,016 and Ksh 49,369 per month.

They will be entitled to commuter allowance of Ksh 3,000 and house allowance determined by the work station as stipulated by the SRC. They will be entitled to an annual leave of 30 working days per calendar year as well as leave allowance.

Applicants will be required to have scored a C- (Minus) in their KCSE as well as acquired a certificate in computer application skills.
