A sombre mood engulfed Nang’eni village in Bumula constituency, Bungoma County after a form three students died while procuring an abortion
According to one of the residents who sought anonymity, the deceased was pregnant and wanted to terminate her pregnancy.
Confirming the incident, area Chief Chrispus Makokha said such incidences in Bumula Constituency have been on the rise due to long holiday.
”I am very disappointed with this act, my advice to parents is that they take care of school girls, being pregnant is not the end of life” he said.
The body was picked by Police officers and taken to Bungoma mortuary.
