St. Peter’s Mumias Boys Senior School Principal Chrispinus Owino has announced the launch of a revision programme on Saturdays, bringing parents on board to support candidates ahead of the KCSE examinations.
Speaking during the visit of Kakamega Catholic Diocese Bishop Joseph Obanyi, who presided over a Holy Mass to bless the Form Four candidates, the principal disclosed that teachers had already completed the Form Four syllabus.
This year, St. Peter’s has registered 672 candidates for the KCSE examinations, and the school is confident it will surpass its target mean score of 9.0.
“We have a lot of confidence in our students. We know that if they remain disciplined, we shall post impressive results,” Owino noted.
He added that the school is not only focused on academic performance but is equally committed to character formation.
“We provide holistic formation and produce all-round students who can fit well in society,” he reaffirmed, adding that the institution is focused on preparing responsible boys who can contribute positively to the country’s development.
Last year, the school presented 619 candidates for KCSE, out of whom 514 scored C+ and above, qualifying for university admission.
Additionally, 105 students scored grades of C Plain and C-, making them eligible for diploma courses.

“Therefore, there was no wastage last year. I appreciate parents’ support in fee payment and remedial programmes,” he emphasised.
The principal also commended teachers for their commitment and sacrifices in ensuring students are well prepared for life after St. Peter’s.
He further praised the Board of Management (BoM) for providing a conducive learning environment, noting that the administration and the board are working as a team with a strong rapport.
Bishop Obanyi expressed gratitude to the teachers, the BoM, and the entire school community for effectively guiding the students.
