St. Luke’s Boys High School in Kimilili held a grand ceremony yesterday to honour its handball team, which emerged victorious at the 2025 East Africa Handball Championship. The event was graced by Chief Principal Innocent Bichange, who congratulated the team on their remarkable achievement.
The handball squad, dubbed “Champions of Faith & Field,” impressed spectators with their skill, strategy, and perseverance throughout the tournament. During the ceremony, players received trophies and certificates in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
Principal Bichange praised the students for their discipline and teamwork, noting that their success reflected both talent and character.

The celebration also highlighted other outstanding students, including members of the school’s scouts and music groups, who have performed exceptionally at national competitions. The scouts are set to represent the school in upcoming East Africa competitions, with the community expressing strong support for their endeavors.
Speaking at the event, Bichange emphasized the importance of resilience and focus in achieving sporting excellence. The ceremony underscored the school’s commitment to nurturing talent across sports, music, and leadership, celebrating both achievement and the values of perseverance and teamwork.
