Sotik MP reaffirms commitment to education development

Sotik MP Francis Sigei has reiterated his commitment to improving education standards in the constituency, terming it a key pillar in empowering the next generation.

Speaking during a tour of various schools in the area, Sigei emphasised that education remains a fundamental right for every Kenyan child and a powerful equaliser in society.

“Education is the equaliser and a basic right of every Kenyan child. We must continue investing in it to secure the future of our children,” he said.

The legislator highlighted several achievements in the education sector, noting that they reflect a shared commitment between leaders, parents and teachers to enhance learning conditions.

“These milestones reflect our collective effort to improve the learning environment and expand access to quality education for all our children,” he stated.

Sigei, who was accompanied by parents, teachers and local residents, expressed optimism over the progress made so far, attributing it to strong community support.

“I am encouraged by the unity and support from the community, which continues to drive our development agenda forward,” he added.

Residents and education stakeholders present during the tour lauded the MP for what they described as significant transformation in schools across the constituency.

On financial support, Sigei assured learners and parents that bursaries will soon be disbursed, stressing that the process will be transparent and fair.

“We will ensure that the bursary allocation process is above board so that deserving students benefit without bias,” he said.

He further reaffirmed his commitment to improving school infrastructure across Sotik, calling on residents to work closely with his office to sustain the gains made.

“Together, we can do more to uplift our schools and provide a better future for our children,” he said.
