School head decries low boys participation in music and drama festival

Justus Musila, kambu township comprehensive school head, who is also the Music festival chairman has decried low participation of boys in music and drama festivals.

Speaking at Kathonzweni AIC day and boarding comprehensive school, during the music and drama festival, he noted that there is a serious concern that needs to be addressed.

“Last year, we had 90 percent of girls participating in music and drama, we call upon all stakeholders to encourage our boys to participate fully in this category since it’s not a girl’s thing,” Musila said.

He called upon teachers to be serious in mentoring the boy child by engaging them adding that it is the high time that they should be fully empowered.

“We have forgotten our boys. I can’t tell the exact reason as to why they are not participating in music and drama festivals,” Musila said
