The intervention targets communities where food insecurity remains a significant challenge, providing meals to learners in schools within these hardship areas. The programme is intended to support learner enrolment, daily attendance and preparation for national examinations during the third term.

The feeding programme is expected to benefit examination candidates in particular, as schools enter the period of intensive revision and final preparation ahead of national assessments. The Government has not yet released further details on the specific counties, number of schools or total number of learners covered under the resumed programme.
