Raise our flag higher Uasin-Gishu CDE tells school teams headed for the regionals

Uasin Gishu Secondary Schools teams participating in the Rift Valley region Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association have been flagged off.

The Regions Competitions will take place in Nanyuki, Nyahururu County from today(Wednesday).

The County Director of Education Khalifa Issack Hassan flagged off the teams today wishing them luck.

According to Isaack, the County will ensure that the learners are all around developed and emphasized the importance of extra-curriculum activities.

“It is a great honor to preside over the flag-off of the teams that will be representing us at the Regional level.

As per the statistics we are ready to flag off over 5,000participants in the regional extra curriculum,” the Director of Education said.,

He called on the  Participants to lift higher the name and flag of the County name saying the win of their individual schools will be celebrated by the County.

“We are encouraged by your limitless commitment to this course and we are confident that with discipline and Sportsmanship, your success is guaranteed,” noted Isaack.

Deputy County Commissioner, Solomon Chepeton, acknowledged the efforts by the teams in making it this far and wished them the best as they display their talents.

“You might think that you are playing for the various schools but remember you can be spotted and be recruited into the national teams in your various games.

So my advice to you is to play your level best and be outstanding knowing that this is the Home Of Champions,” said Chepeton.
