Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) has backed the Government directive to close private schools across the Country that pose risk to children to learn.

Speaking in Eldoret town recently after meeting directors of private schools, the association CEO Peter Nduru said this will ensure that students learn in a conducive environment.

“We are 100 per cent in support of what the government is doing, we cannot allow our children to learn under poor learning environment yet they pay to a lot of money,” he said.

Nduru noted that any school that has not complied with the government rules and regulations should be closed indefinitely.

“We agree that the quality and standards must be maintained in learning institutions,” he added.

Ndura called on private schools to ensure that they comply with the Ministry of Education rules and regulations.

The government has embarked on a countrywide crackdown of unsafe and unregistered schools.
